Good news for everyone about to invest in HypnoBirthing classes! The UK Government has announced the new Health in Pregnancy Grant funded by the HMRC - ALL pregnant women, regardless of income, can claim £190 to help them prepare for the birth of their baby. EVERYBODY IS ELIGIBLE - you can claim from 25 weeks if your baby is due on or after the 6th April 2009.
To claim, ask your midwife for a signed form and forward it to the HMRC - the money will be deposited in your account to spend how you choose. It is not taxable and will not affect any other benefits such as tax credits, Income Support or Jobseekers Allowance.
